We often install steel sheet piles in the site development phases in preparation for a General Contractor to bring in the next trades that will construct the actual building foundation. We also have constructed many cofferdams throughout New Jersey, to assist with sites that require water control and excavation in the same spot or soil erosion control.
Depending on your engineering plans, steel sheets can be made to different lengths. Steel sheet piles interlock together to form a continuous wall of steel, which can be made permanent or temporary. Shore Systems Group has employed both methods of sheet piling for our clients. Some other applications that call for sheet piles may be:
